HIGH POWERED CARS 2008
Vic Roads can run a competition about what threatened species to put
on the 2009 registration certificates but they cannot put on the sticker a
crossed P to indicate a high powered vehicle, so that young lives can
be protected. Despite coroner’s recommendations and a huge loss of
life due to inexperienced young drivers driving cars that are too
powerful for them, the government refuses to clearly identify these
vehicles.
They say it is too hard, yet the Environment and Climate Minister Gavin
Jennings said that ‘putting a threatened species on registration labels
improves awareness of our precious wildlife’ ‘This initiative is about
reminding people we’re all part of the same ecosystem’ Awareness
and reminders, these are all the very reasons that High powered cars
should be identified to protect our precious ‘human’ life.
To build awareness amongst car buyers and users of what cars are
deemed to powerful.
The brush-tailed rock wallaby makes it onto the
registration sticker, aren’t young people worth protecting?
