VICTIMS DO MATTER
The views of these barristers who think that victims are not relevant to
sentencing is so offensive to the society as a whole that I believe they
should be made to formally apologise to all victims of crime.
A Judge can further traumatise a family by dismissing their loved
ones life as irrelevant and treating a family like criminals for sticking up
for their right to a fair hearing
People have fought hard for a fairer system over many many years and
it is still tipped highly in the favour of the offender.
Are they forgetting how the Justice system evolved?
Do they want people to return to an eye for and eye?
This is what they encourage by dismissing victims as irrelevant.
Don’t they understand that without victims there isn’t a crime?
How weak they are to blame the victims for the Judges sending
criminals to what they believe are poor quality prisons.
Judges are supposed to be impartial.
They say that Judges would be inclined to send criminals to Jail for
longer if the prisons were safer.
Judge can not be influenced in any way by the
prison system, wether the jails are full or dangerous or a palace is
supposed to be irrelevant to the Judge.
They are not supposed to know where the offender is going or likely to
go.
That is the Corrections department.
Is this is another fabrication?
How can Judges follow the criteria for sentencing if they are more
concerned about the state of the prisons than the crime committed?
How is that impartial?
These barristers should be smarter than to confuse prisons and
sentencing.
They are two separate issues, if they want to bully anyone then why
don’t they bully the government about the way prisons are run and
leave victims alone.
If the prisons are poorly run, then that is the fault of the prison officials
and just like any government department they should be accountable.
If they are privately run they are still accountable.
What about when the Victim has been killed, isn’t it the public
prosecutions job to defend their right to be alive?
How can the victim be irrelevant?
Let the victims be, they have been through enough, far more than
most people will ever have to endure.
Victims families are hardened and weakened by having to identify
their children who have been smashed to pieces by criminal drivers, or
wives who have had to identify husbands who have gone to work and
been shot dead by some thug or parents who have had to identify
murdered children after they have been brutalised by sick criminals,
who had the Judiciary done their job properly in the first place, would
never have been on the streets. David Galbally QC says that we must
keep emotion out of the courts and that the courts are not there for
victims.
Then why have courts at all?
If the victim doesn’t matter then why bother with the criminal?
If lawyers want to keep emotion out of the court then keep it out of the
offender’s side as well.
These barristers make you sick with all the emotion they pour out on
behalf of the offender.
How dare these barristers tell victims and their families that they are
irrelevant to the process?
Legal Justice is the only Justice these families will ever get.
Legal Closure is the only closure families will ever get.
Maybe if victims turn into criminals themselves,
maybe then the barristers would have empathy with them.
How bizarre
