Is supporting the May 16th Day of Fatality Free Friday
by displaying 332 Australian Flags to represent the lives
lost on Victorian roads last year and white Flags to
represent the lives lost so far this year, sadly over 120 at
this point.
We ask if you can support us this week by promoting
Fatality Free Friday and urge drivers to take the pledge
and drive safely

The first UN global road safety week which this year is focusing on young road users.
Federal Labor http://www.alp.org.au/media/0407/msro180.php are the only ones who appear to have noted the UN Global Road Safety Week.
The slogan this year is ROAD SAFETY IS NO ACCIDENT
Maybe that doesn’t fit in with Victorias approach to road safety this year.

Hobsons Bay City Council in Victoria is staging a media campaign and one-day event for Fatality Free Friday as part of UN Global Road Safety Week. - A media campaign leading up to the week and Fatality Free
Friday, suggesting ways in which the goal of Fatality Free Friday can be
attained. - A cooperative one day project scheduled for Fatality Free Friday will
see Police, Local Laws and Community Services Officers attending selected
School Crossings in the municipality to encourage parents of children to
use crossings when going to and from the school.
Hobsons Bay City Council will also endorse Safer Vehicles and Safer Driver policies,
these to be formally launched during UN Global Road Safety Week along with Council's Pedestrian Charter
